Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, represents the heroic stand against the oppressive King Antiochus IV of the Seleucid Empire by the Jewish resistance, the Maccabees. Just as the “Miracle of the Cruse of Oil” provided light in dark times, so too will we attempt to illuminate the darkness of the reactionary policy of Benjamin Netanyahu and discuss the modern-day Maccabees who seek to liberate the people of Israel and Palestine.
